New Art Exhibit "Lyrical"
San Telmo Gallery, Sebastian, FL.
April 2nd- May 28th
All art inspired by nursery rhymes, song lyrics and poetry. Nursery rhymes have fueled my imagination from age 2 and I've always painted to music and I love analyzing song lyrics. So, I have turned these things into visual art (mixed media/watercolor).

ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Hilliard/Fain, 1951
“When clouds go rolling by
They roll away and leave the sky
Where is the land beyond the eye
That people cannot see?
Where do stars go?
Where is the crescent moon?
They must be somewhere in the sunny afternoon
Alice in Wonderland
Where is the path to Wonderland
Over the hill or here or there?
I wonder where…”

HUMPTY DUMPTY
I painted this in oils a few months before Ukraine was attacked. I had always wanted to go to Ukraine and see the oldest onion dome architecture - here I positioned a happy Humpty on the wall amidst the towers of Kyiv, Ukraine. Bizarre that it is now under siege and Humpty may fall...

NIGHTBIRD
Lyric by Stevie Nicks, 1983
“And when I call you – will you walk gently through my shadow?
The ones who sing at night.
Cry for the nightbird tonight.”

OLD KING COLE
Nursery rhyme, 1706
“Old King Cole was a merry old soul,
And a merry old soul was he;
He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl,
And he called for his fiddlers three.
Every fiddler he had a fiddle,
And a very fine fiddle had he;
Oh there's none so rare, as can compare,
With King Cole and his fiddlers three.”
